Common Core and Dinosaurs!

Today, we started our Social Studies Unit. We learned two new vocabulary words: history and traditions. We will be working on a family traditions project in the upcoming weeks! Look forward to sharing about a special tradition in your family!

 We also started working on our Common Core "I Can" portfolios! We feel excited to be able to show our parents all our hard work!

 We took a 3 minute motor break and practiced the Koo Koo Kangaroo Dino Stomp Dance! Click here for the super fun video! 

 In math, we learned a fun way to practice addition and subtraction using the frames and arrows diagram! Check out some students using the SMARTBoard to solve problems!

    Wow! Smart boards are so cool! Just like all those kids doing their math with the smart board.

    I was wondering about smartboards...glad to see they are so helpful to students. Learning is always better when students are engaged!
